North Schuylkill struck first at 107 pounds when Gaige Mentusky pinned Joshua Witherow in 1:43. The Spartans added to the early lead with a forfeit victory by Evan Miernicki at 114.
Pine Grove answered at 121, as Chase Nagle earned a pin over Connor Hoover in 1:07 to swing momentum back toward the Cardinals. North Schuylkill responded immediately at 127 with Alex Deritis securing a fall against Taylor Enge at the 2:10 mark.
At 133, Pine Grove continued to chip away when Andrew Hikes claimed a 12–5 decision over Noah Leib. The Spartans picked up crucial bonus points at 139, where Brock Holmes recorded a technical fall against James Hoy, 15–0, at 5:52.
Pine Grove took control through the middle of the lineup. At 145, Colby Townley posted a technical fall over Bode Gates, 18–3, in 3:06, and at 152, Aaron Osatchuk followed with a 10–0 major decision against Kaden Tavares.
North Schuylkill regained ground at 160 behind a strong performance from Bryce Kile, who defeated Austin Frantz by major decision, 16–7. Pine Grove answered at 172, where Isaiah Miller earned a 7–0 decision over Benjamin Carr.
The Spartans sealed the team victory in the upper weights. At 189, Connor Dower picked up a 5–1 decision against Logan Troup, and at 215, Cadyn McGraw edged Zachary Kurtz in an ultimate tiebreaker, 5–4 — a pivotal bout that ultimately proved to be the difference in the dual. The bout also went 7 periods.
Pine Grove closed the night with a highlight at heavyweight, as Scout Frantz pinned William Wysoski in 2:29, but it was not enough to overcome North Schuylkill’s earlier bonus points.
