Three Schuylkill League Athletes Selected for 2025 Mini Max Football Honors

Three Schuylkill League football players were among those recognized statewide on Wednesday as part of a prestigious academic and athletic honor.

Minersville Area’s Dante Carr, Panther Valley’s Brody Breiner, and Tri-Valley’s Cole Gemberling were named 2025 Pennsylvania Mini Max Award winners, as announced by Maxwell Football Club President Mark Dianno.

The Mini Max Awards recognize outstanding high school football players across Pennsylvania, Delaware, and New Jersey. This year, 55 players from Pennsylvania were selected after being nominated by their coaches and evaluated on a wide range of criteria, including on-field performance, academic achievement, and community service throughout the 2025 season.

Carr, Breiner, and Gemberling represent three different Schuylkill League programs, highlighting the depth of talent in the league and the region. Their selections place them among the top student-athletes in the state.

In addition to the Pennsylvania honorees, the Maxwell Football Club also released its 2025 Mini Max Award winners from Delaware and New Jersey. From those three states, one player from each will be chosen as Player of the Year, with the announcements scheduled for the annual Mini-Maxwell Awards ceremony.

That event will be held on February 1, 2026, at the Drexelbrook Catering and Event Center in Drexel Hill.

The three state Players of the Year will then become finalists for the Jim Henry Award, which honors the Outstanding Player in the region. The Jim Henry Award winner will also be announced during the February ceremony. Past recipients of the award have gone on to successful collegiate and professional careers.
