Girls Basketball: Tri-Valley Pulls Away from Weatherly in Schuylkill League Division 2 Matchup



Tri-Valley used a strong start and steady scoring throughout to earn a 45–30 road victory over Weatherly on Tuesday night in a Schuylkill League Division 2 girls basketball contest.
Both teams entered the game with identical 1–3 league records, and Tri-Valley wasted little time setting the tone, jumping out to a 13–3 lead by the end of the first quarter. Weatherly responded in the second quarter, outscoring the Bulldogs 11–5 to cut the deficit to 18–14 at halftime.

Tri-Valley regrouped coming out of the break, extending its lead to 28–20 after three quarters before closing the game strong in the final frame to secure the 15-point win.

Avery Miller led all scorers with 20 points for Tri-Valley, while Ava Snyder added 14. Gracyn Miller finished with five points, Ivy Sankas scored four, and Bella Dietrich chipped in two.

Weatherly was led by Maci Kane with 16 points. Alexia Kehler, Kelly Reiner, and Abby Weston each contributed six points in the loss.

With the win, Tri-Valley improves to 2–7 overall and 2–3 in Schuylkill League Division 2 play. The Bulldogs will return home Wednesday night to host Williams Valley.

Weatherly falls to 3–5 overall and 1–4 in league play. The Wreckers will look to bounce back Thursday night when they travel to Lourdes Regional.
