Williams Valley Pulls Away Early to Defeat Tri-Valley in Division 2 Matchup

Williams Valley used a fast start and steady scoring throughout to earn a 47–31 victory over Tri-Valley in a Schuylkill League Division 2 girls basketball matchup.

Williams Valley came out firing in the opening quarter, building a commanding 27–6 lead by the end of the first period. The Lady Vikings continued to control the pace in the second quarter, extending their advantage to 40–10 at halftime.

Tri-Valley showed signs of life after the break, outscoring Williams Valley 12–3 in the third quarter to cut into the deficit. However, Williams Valley maintained control down the stretch, closing out the win to improve their league and overall record.

With the loss, Tri-Valley falls to 2–4 in Schuylkill League Division 2 play and 2–8 overall. The Lady Dawgs will look to bounce back when they travel to face Mahanoy Area on Friday night.

Williams Valley improves to 11–2 overall and 4–2 in league play. The Lady Vikings will return home Friday night to host Weatherly.
