Yuengling Unveils Limited-Edition Lager to Honor America’s 250th Anniversary

America’s Oldest Brewery is raising a patriotic toast to the nation’s upcoming 250th birthday.
D.G. Yuengling & Son, Inc. announced the launch of its Limited-Edition 250th Anniversary Yuengling Traditional Lager cans and packs, commemorating the United States’ Semiquincentennial in 2026.

The special packaging features a bold red, white, and blue design celebrating American independence, resilience, and perseverance—values the Pottsville-based brewery says it has lived by for nearly two centuries.

The limited-edition cans will be available beginning January 2026 in 12-ounce 12-packs and 24-pack cans across Yuengling’s expanding 30-state footprint.

“This milestone isn’t just about how America began—it’s about what has endured,” said Jennifer Yuengling, Vice President of Operations and sixth-generation brewer. “Our brewery has lived through nearly every chapter of this nation’s history, and we’re proud to celebrate America’s legacy of independence, perseverance, and pride right alongside our own.”

Founded in 1829, just 53 years after the signing of the Declaration of Independence, Yuengling says it has remained continuously operating and family-owned, surviving Prohibition, wars, recessions, and major industrial shifts. Today, the sixth generation of the Yuengling family—four daughters working alongside their father—continues the company’s mission of “protecting the past while building what’s next.”

“We don’t just talk about American history—we’ve lived through most of it,” said Wendy Yuengling, Chief Administrative Officer. “This design honors both our country’s 250th milestone and the generations of hardworking Americans who’ve kept our brewery, and our nation, thriving.”

The special anniversary packaging also highlights Yuengling’s ongoing partnership with Team Red, White & Blue (Team RWB), a nonprofit dedicated to enriching the lives of U.S. veterans through health, wellness, and community engagement. Proceeds from the limited-edition cans will support Team RWB as part of Yuengling’s long-running Stars & Stripes program.

Since 2016, Yuengling has donated more than $500,000 to military-focused organizations through the initiative, including Team RWB, Operation Gratitude, and TAPS.

“Team RWB is honored to stand alongside Yuengling as America celebrates 250 years,” said Michael Sullivan, Executive Director of Team RWB. “Our shared values of service, resilience, and pride make this partnership a natural fit.”

Yuengling officials say the 250th Anniversary Lager packaging reflects the brewery’s continued commitment to American craft, local jobs, and independent ownership, reinforcing the message that nearly 200 years later, American-made still matters.
