Woman Exposes Herself, Resists Arrest, Assaults Trooper in Pine Grove

A Pine Grove woman is facing multiple charges after Pennsylvania State Police say she resisted arrest, assaulted a trooper, and damaged a patrol vehicle during an incident Wednesday afternoon in Schuylkill County.
According to a public information release from the Pennsylvania State Police Schuylkill Haven Patrol Unit, troopers responded around 3:52 p.m. on February 11, 2026, to the area of North Tulpehocken Street and Birch Street in Pine Grove Borough.

Police identified the woman as Elizabeth Gibson, 38, of Pine Grove.

Troopers reported they observed Gibson walking in the roadway while removing her clothing and exposing herself to passing motorists. When troopers attempted to take her into custody, authorities say she physically resisted.

During the struggle, police allege Gibson kicked an arresting trooper in the face.

After being secured inside a state police patrol vehicle, troopers say Gibson damaged components of the vehicle and urinated inside the patrol car multiple times.

Gibson was arraigned before Magisterial District Judge Christian Lengel, who set bail at $25,000 straight monetary. She was subsequently remanded to Schuylkill County Jail.
