According to the Pennsylvania State Police at Schuylkill Haven, troopers initiated an investigation on February 16, 2026, into the compliance status of registered sex offender Louis Gibson, 50, of Yeadon.
During the investigation, troopers determined that Gibson had failed to comply with his required monthly reporting obligations for several months, placing him in a non-compliant status under Megan’s Law.
Police said Gibson was residing at 286 Stephens Road in West Brunswick Township, an address that had not been previously reported as required under the law.
Gibson was taken into custody and charged with multiple violations of Megan’s Law. He was remanded to the Schuylkill County Prison on $20,000 straight cash bail set by Magisterial District Judge James Reiley.
Gibson posted bail through a professional bondsman and was released on Tuesday, February 17th, 2026.
A preliminary hearing is scheduled before Magisterial District Judge Casimir T. Kosciolek on February 24th, 2026.
The investigation was conducted by the Pennsylvania State Police Schuylkill Haven Patrol Unit.
