Pallets of bottled water were delivered to Shenandoah Borough Hall, William Penn, and Turkey Run to assist residents affected by the loss of water service. The company partnered with Wegmans and Niagara Bottling to quickly secure donations and organize transportation logistics.
According to Mrs. T’s, the effort came together rapidly thanks to the collaboration of several community partners.
The company extends sincere thanks to Mark Mikita, Transportation Manager at Wegmans, for his logistical leadership in ensuring a smooth delivery; Michelle Mariano, Plant Operations Specialist at Niagara Bottling Hazleton; Mike Joyce, Executive Director, and Becky Woods, Director of Marketing & Programs at Schuylkill United Way; and Tom Twardzik, President and second-generation owner of Mrs. T’s Pierogies, along with members of Team Pierogy who assisted in unloading and distributing the water.
“During times like these, our priority is supporting our neighbors,” said Meghan Heim of Mrs. T’s Pierogies. “We are grateful to our community partners who came together quickly to help make this effort possible.”
