Pottsville Man Locked Up in Schuylkill County Prison Following Child Sexual Assault Investigation


A Pottsville man is is locked up in Schuylkill County Prison for allegedly sexually assaulting two young children.

Michael Poslosky, 30, of Pottsville was charged by Pottsville Police on Wednesday, February 25th, 2026 with: 
  • Felony 1 (F1)

    • (5 counts) Involuntary Deviate Sexual Intercourse with a Child

    Felony 2 (F2)

    • (1 count) Aggravated Indecent Assault – Complainant Less Than 13 Years Old

    • (1 count) Incest of a Minor – Complainant Under 13 Years

    Felony 3 (F3)

    • (1 count) Corruption of Minors – Defendant Age 18 or Above

    • (1 count) Indecent Assault – Person Less Than 13 Years of Age

    Misdemeanor 1 (M1)

    • (2 counts) Indecent Assault – Person Less Than 13 Years of Age

    • (1 count) Corruption of Minors

    • (2 counts) Indecent Exposure

According to Pottsville Police, on January 3, 2026, officers were dispatched to by County Communications to contact the complainant regarding a sexual assault. 

An initial information interview was conducted and it was learned that two children ages 8 and 5 reported that Michael Poslosky had sexually assaulted them. At this time, safety measures were taken to ensure that the children would not be in contact with the alleged offender. 

Both children were taken to a Child Advocacy Center where they were forensically interviewed. 

At the initial interview and a subsequent interview, it was learned that Poslosky had placed his genitalia into the mouth of both child victims and had committed other sexual crimes against the 8-year-old. 

Michael Poslosky was taken into custody on February 25, 2026 and arraigned before Magisterial District Judge James Reiley and committed to the Schuylkill County Prison in lieu of $250,000.00 straight cash bail.

Poslosky remains locked up as of this posting with a preliminary hearing scheduled for March 2nd, 2026.
