Anthony W. "Tony" Kellner
, 79, of Auburn passed away Thursday, February 26th, at Geisinger St. Luke's Orwigsburg.

Tony was born in Coaldale, Pa. on November 13, 1946, a son of the late Irene (Demyanovich) and George Kellner.

He was the husband of Rebecca Ann (Diefenderfer) Kellner. They were married on September 30th, 1967.

He served in the U.S. Navy.

Professionally, Tony was a dedicated pipe fitter and welder who took great pride in his work. Beyond his trade, he was widely known as an incredibly gifted mechanic and the owner of Kellner Motorsports. Friends and neighbors knew they could always rely on him to fix just about anything, and he was generous with his time and skills.

Outside of work, Tony enjoyed precision shooting, listening to music, and watching movies. Whether he was working with his hands, driving fast on just about anything with wheels, enjoying his favorite songs or movies. As a child he jumped down the stairs thinking he was Superman and continued to live his life as if there were nothing he couldn’t do. And he was usually right.

In addition to Rebecca, his wife of 60 years, Tony is survived by two daughters, Kellie, wife of William Kuttrubis and Kattrina Kellner, companion of Brian Koukol,

Two granddaughters Zoe Fessler and Portia Fessler, brother Kevin Kellner and his best friend Wilson, the German wired haired Pointer. 

Services are private and entrusted to the Hamilton-Breiner Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., Orwigsburg.

Jean A. “Mrs. P.” Pompilio
, 79, of Keefer Rd., Pine Grove, passed away Saturday, February 21, 2026, at Geisinger St. Lukes Hospital, Orwigsburg after a brief illness.

Born on September 24, 1946 in Newton, NJ, she was a daughter of the late William and Elizabeth Palmer Ayers.

Jean was an accountant/bookkeeper and had her own business, J & N Bookkeeping. She also previously worked in customer service at Twin Grove Campground in Pine Grove.

She was a former member of the East Coast Four Wheel Drive Association and was an EMT and former captain of the Stanhope Netcong American Legion Ambulance Corps.

Jean loved camping, attending NASCAR races, the staff at O'Neal's Pub in Pine Grove, and feeding “her” birds.

Preceding her in death were her beloved husband of 48 years, Nicholas C. “Mr. P” Pompilio; her cherished daughter, Lauren Boyer; and a sister, Brenda Casterline.

Surviving her are two sons, Dan Olson of Portola, CA, Jay and wife Carolyn Lawson, of Anthem, AZ; five grandchildren, George Olson, Racheal Petrosky, Mia and Aidan Lawson, and Andrea Hartline; a great grandson, Braxton Hartline; and a sister, Janice Depuy of Ellicott City, MD.

Services will be held at a later date. Interment will be in Hope Cemetery, Kutztown.

In lieu of flowers, the family would prefer contributions be made to a charity of your choice in her memory.

The H. L. Snyder Funeral Home, Inc., Pine Grove is in charge of arrangements.

Betty J. Derricott
, 79 of Pittston Twp., formerly of Frackville, passed away Thursday, February 26, 2026 at Hospice of the Sacred Heart Inpatient Hospice Unit.

She was born on September 6, 1946, in Ashland, she was the daughter of the late Leonard and Jean (Dower) Farnsworth. Betty was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Frackville. Betty worked at BR Grumpy for many years. She enjoyed doing crafts and loved animals. Betty especially loved spending time with her grandchildren. She and her granddaughter, Ayla,had a special bond and always enjoyed spending time together.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her two husbands, George Oakum and Randolph Derricott, and a brother, Ronald Farnsworth.

She is survived by her loving daughter, Angie Krieger of Pittston Twp., a son, George and Donna Oakum, Gilberton, and 3 grandchildren, George Oakum, III, Logan and Ayla Krieger.

Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. Services have been entrusted to Kniffen O'Malley Leffler Funeral & Cremation Services, Avoca.
