A Schuylkill County woman was taken into custody and charged following a reported domestic disturbance Thursday evening.
According to Pottsville police, officers were dispatched at approximately 5:51 p.m. on February 6, 2026, to the 700 block of Mine Street for a report of a physical altercation between a male and female.
While responding, officers made contact with the individuals involved in the 600 block of Laurel Boulevard. Police reported observing the male victim with visible injuries, including bleeding from the bridge of his nose and redness and bleeding to his left cheek.
The victim told officers that his partner, Samantha Hahn, struck him on the left side of the face with a closed fist during an argument. He stated the impact caused his glasses to cut the bridge of his nose, resulting in bleeding, pain, and redness.
According to the victim, the argument began inside the residence over messages Hahn was allegedly exchanging with another male. He told police that during the dispute he damaged a heater out of frustration. The victim further reported Hahn removed an earbud from his ear and threw it at him.
The victim stated he attempted to leave the residence to de-escalate the situation, but Hahn followed him outside and allegedly struck him in the face, causing the injuries observed by police.
Hahn was taken into custody and arraigned by on-call Magisterial District Judge Edward Tarantelli. Bail was set at 10% of $1,500, and Hahn was committed to Schuylkill County Prison after failing to post bail at the time of arraignment.
Court records show Hahn later posted bail on Monday, February 9, 2026, and was subsequently released.
Hahn is charged with:
- Simple Assault (Misdemeanor 2)
- Harassment (Summary offense)
