Schuylkill County drivers can expect delays next week as the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) conducts multiple road maintenance projects across the area.
According to PennDOT, work will take place from Monday, March 23rd, 2026 through Friday, March 27th, 2026, with crews operating daily between 7:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. All projects will involve daytime lane restrictions, and motorists are urged to use caution when traveling through active work zones.
Burma Road – East Norwegian, Blythe, and Ryan Townships
PennDOT maintenance crews will perform pothole patching along Burma Road between Brockton State Road and St. Clair Borough. Drivers should anticipate lane restrictions and possible delays throughout the duration of the project.
Dad Burnhams Road – Washington Township
Work on Dad Burnhams Road between Route 895 and Route 443 will focus on drainage improvements. Lane restrictions will be in place, and motorists should be alert for changing traffic patterns.
High Road – Butler Township
Crews will also be addressing pothole patching on High Road, between Route 901 and the Columbia County line. As with the other projects, daytime lane restrictions will be enforced.
PennDOT noted that weather is not expected to impact the schedule, and all work is planned to proceed as scheduled.
