Eugene Allen Tietsworth, 76, of Pitman and most recently Shenandoah, passed away peacefully on March 14, 2026.

Born in Taylorsville, Pennsylvania, he was the son of the late Chester and Betty Tietsworth.

A United States Army veteran, Gene was stationed in Alaska during the Vietnam War. He later lived and worked in Bucks County before relocating to Schuylkill County in 1991.

Gene is survived by his wife, Carol; his children, Jennifer, Denise, Megan, and Hillary; a brother, Ricky; several grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Amy; his parents; his brother, Randy; and his sister, Elaine.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.

Joan M. Seasock
, age 86, of Frackville, passed away Friday MAR 13 at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Schuylkill in Pottsville. Born at the former Ashland State Hospital she was the daughter of the late Paul and Julia (Taris) Osinchak. She was a 1957 graduate of Mahanoy Township High School and received a BA degree in Theology from King's College. 

 She had been employed by General Cigar Factory , was director of Camp Come Alive in Canadensis, PA for many years and last worked as a community support specialist for Advocacy Alliance in Pottsville. She was a faithful member of St. Mary's Byzantine Catholic Church in Mahanoy City and was director of religious education at St. Mary's. She was also a past member of the Frackville Ladies of the Elks. She was an avid Philadelphia Eagles fan and loved vacations with her family and going to the beach.

She was preceded in death by a brother Paul Osinchak. She is survived by her husband of 65 years John F. Seasock, children Kimberly Kelly and her husband Randolph, Dr. John P. Seasock and his wife Lora, Karen DiTrolio and her husband Mark and Keri Saltalamacchia and her husband Joe, a brother Thomas Osinchak and his wife Nancy, grandchildren Jacob and Kayley DiTrolio, Theodosia Seasock and her fiance' Alex Zuppo, John and Paul Seasock and Giuliana, Olivia and Catarina Saltalamacchia and a nephew Thomas Osinchak Jr. and his wife Maureen.. 

Relatives and friends are invited to attend an Office of Christian Burial to be conducted by the Rev. James Carroll on Thursday morning at 11 AM from St. Mary's Byzantine Catholic Church in Mahanoy City. 

Interment will follow in the parish cemetery in Mahanoy Township. Friends may call at the church beginning at 9:30 AM. 

Contributions in her name to St. Jude's Children's Hospital would be appreciated by the family and will be accepted at the visitation. David D. Jarrett Funeral Home of Mahanoy City is in charge of arrangements.

James Joseph Smith III
, loving husband, father and grandfather, passed away suddenly, Saturday March 14, 2026 at his home in Williamstown .

James was a 1966 graduate of Williams Valley High School and also from Lock Haven University where he received a degree in education. He taught physical education, health, and driver's training for 38 years at Williams Valley. He also coached wrestling and football at his alma mater. He served in the Pennsylvania Army National Guard for 33 years.

In addition to his parents, James II and Evelynn Adams Smith, he was predeceased by his infant children Kimberly, Jeremy, and Joseph; and by his granddaughter Alyssa Marie.

He leaves behind his beloved wife, Verda of 54 years; two sons, Eric (Alison) James (Bethany); beloved grandchildren Elijah, Madysen, and James.

He also leaves behind his siblings Patricia English (Joseph), Evelynn McConnell (Steve), Donald Smith (Jennifer).

Following James's wishes, he will be laid to rest privately in the Sacred Heart Cemetery, Williamstown.

In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory can be made to the Williamstown EMS, PO Box 74, Williamstown, PA 17098.
