Sheila Y. Tokonitz
, 74, of Pottsville passed away on Thursday at the Geisinger Medical Center in Danville.

Born in Pottsville, March 28, 1951, she was the daughter of the late William & Beatrice Kreiger Horn.

Sheila was a graduate of Pottsville Area High School in 1969. She then went on to become a Licensed Practical Nurse. Sheila spent her life in health care. She last worked for the ReDCo group where she enjoyed assisting her clients and families. Shiela loved her time with ReDCo and grew to love many of her colleagues as family.

She was a member of The Salvation Army in Pottsville.

Sheila was an animal owner and lover. Her fondest memories were spending time at the beach in North Carolina.

Sheila is survived by her sons. Edward Jr. husband to Gretchen of North Carolina and Keith husband to Kimberly of Pottsville. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Adam husband to Lindsey, Olivia, and Aiden along with a great granddaughter Raylynn. Sheila is survived by her siblings, William Jr. and Deborah L. Horn Brown.

A memorial service will be held at 12:00 Noon on Saturday, March 28th at the Salvation Army, 400 Sanderson Street, Pottsville, PA 17901. Family and friends are welcome from 11:00 A.M. until the time of services. Interment will follow on the grounds of Schuylkill Memorial Park, Schuylkill Haven. Faye Zimmerman Cashwell
, 87, went home to be with our Lord on March 11, 2026 at her residence at Kindred Place in Harrisburg, PA while in the presence of her daughters.

Faye is preceded in death by her parents Samuel Rufus Zimmerman and Pruella Herb Zimmerman Carpenter of Pitman, PA and her husband, Franklin Wade Cashwell of Oak Island, NC.

Faye is survived by her daughters Donna Snyder Damgaard (Jens) and Abigail Snyder Fish (Joseph Dale) and four grandchildren who were the sunshine in her life.

Faye was raised in a farming community and eventually produced poultry commercially in Schuylkill County for twenty-five years. Her retirement was happily spent with her husband Frank in Oak Island, NC, near the sea, her favorite place in the world. Faye was a devoted believer and a member of Grace Bible Fellowship Church in Harrisburg. She was a proud member of the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR).

A private memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family.

Emma E. Bohr
, 97, of Tower City, passed away peacefully Thursday March 12, 2026 at Heritage Mill Personal Care Home, Tower City.

Emma was born in Sheridan on Sunday, November 11, 1928, a daughter of the late Andrew and Mary Neihenke Mehalko.

She was 1947 graduate of Tower City High School.

Emma was a retired seamstress, working in the local garment factories.

She was a longtime member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Reinerton.

She could often be found doing needlework, cross stitch, and sewing. Emma had a love for hummingbirds and had a large collection of hummingbird decorations on display at her home.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Dean H. Bohr, 1992; a daughter Elizabeth Bohr Graby, 1987; brothers Paul and John Mehalko; sisters, Ruth French, Helen Del'Oreice, and Anna Mattis.

Surviving are her son, Dennis Bohr and his wife Nancy, Enola; three grandchildren, Mark Bohr, and Amber and Shawn Graby; three great grandchildren, Alex, Tyler and Kingsley; one sister, Mary Snyder, Georgia; numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be held on Friday, March 20, 2026 at 11:00 AM from the Chapel of the Dimon Funeral Home, Inc., Tower City with Rev. Lesley Wood officiating. Viewing will be from 10-11 at the chapel. Emma will be laid to rest in the Greenwood Cemetery.

Memorial donations in her memory can be made to St. Peter's Lutheran Church, 1931 Wiconisco Street, Tower City PA 17980.
