According to authorities, the victim has been identified as 36-year-old Marco Poveda. Poveda died as a result of an accidental heavy machinery incident that occurred around 2:00 p.m. at 143 Mahanoy Avenue in Rush Township.
Emergency crews, including local fire departments, EMS, the Schuylkill County Coroner’s Office, and Pennsylvania State Police, responded to the scene following an initial report of an industrial accident with entrapment.
The incident has been ruled accidental, and the investigation remains ongoing.
