According to the advisory, west winds of 15 to 25 mph are expected, with gusts reaching up to 50 mph across the region.
The strong winds could lead to several impacts across the county. Forecasters warn that unsecured outdoor objects may be blown around, while tree limbs could be snapped by the gusts. The conditions may also lead to isolated power outages if limbs/trees fall onto power lines.
Residents are encouraged to secure outdoor furniture, trash cans, and other loose items that could be blown away by the wind. Drivers should also use caution, especially when traveling in high-profile vehicles, as strong gusts may make handling more difficult.
The gusty conditions are expected to continue through the overnight hours and gradually diminish late Saturday morning.
