According to Pottsville Police, officers were dispatched around 3:20 a.m. on April 5, 2026, to a residence in the 1000 block of Laurel Boulevard for a reported domestic incident.
Upon arrival, officers made contact with a 28-year-old male who reported he had been involved in a verbal argument with his partner, identified as 24-year-old Morgan Eiler. The victim told police the two had been out earlier in the evening and began arguing after returning home. During the dispute, he alleged that Eiler threw his belongings outside before the altercation turned physical.
Police said the victim reported sustaining multiple injuries, including scratches to the left side of his face and both sides of his neck, as well as a bite mark on his head and scratches on his right arm. The injuries were described as causing pain, redness, and bleeding. The victim also reported that his shirt was ripped during the incident.
Officers then made contact with Eiler inside the residence. According to police, she showed signs of intoxication, including the odor of an alcoholic beverage and bloodshot, glassy eyes. Police say Eiler admitted to consuming alcohol earlier in the night and acknowledged striking the victim.
Eiler was taken into custody without incident.
She has been charged with one count of Simple Assault, a second-degree misdemeanor, and one count of Harassment, a summary offense. Charges were filed under Pennsylvania’s probable cause arrest laws related to domestic violence incidents.
Eiler was arraigned before on-call Magisterial District Judge Anthony Kilker and committed to Schuylkill County Prison after bail was set at $10,000 cash, 10 percent. She posted bail Monday morning and was released.
