According to court documents, the incident occurred around 9:14 p.m. on February 17, 2026, at an apartment in the 30 block of Saint John Street. Officers from the Schuylkill Haven Borough Police Department were dispatched for a reported fight at the residence.
Upon arrival, police said they encountered multiple individuals and observed signs of a recent altercation inside the apartment. Officers identified one of the individuals involved as Brayan Jose Kostyun, 33, of Reading.
Police allege that Kostyun arranged to meet Lysa Sunshine Fortune, 32, of Schuylkill Haven, after communicating through an online platform. According to the affidavit, Kostyun told officers he brought Oakley Meta glasses to exchange for sex.
Investigators said messages reviewed on Kostyun’s phone indicated plans to meet, drink alcohol, and exchange the glasses. However, Fortune told police she did not intend to engage in sexual activity and became uncomfortable with the situation.
Police said another individual at the apartment became involved after being contacted, leading to a physical confrontation with Kostyun. Officers reported that Kostyun appeared intoxicated at the time.
As a result of the investigation, Kostyun has been charged with patronizing prostitutes, a third-degree misdemeanor.
Fortune has also been charged with promoting prostitution, a third-degree misdemeanor, according to court records.
Authorities seized the Oakley Meta glasses as part of the investigation, along with collecting additional evidence including text messages and video from inside the apartment.
Both Kostyun and Fortune are scheduled to appear for preliminary hearings on April 28, 2026, before Magisterial District Judge Casimir T. Kosciolek in Orwigsburg.
