Robert C. Freund, 53, of Rush Township, was pronounced dead on Monday, April 20, 2026, at 5:22 p.m. at St. Luke’s University Hospital–Bethlehem.
The coroner determined Freund’s cause of death to be multiple blunt force injuries, and the manner of death was ruled an accident.
According to officials, Freund was operating a motorcycle that was involved in a collision with a motor vehicle on Saturday, April 11, 2026. The crash occurred at approximately 12:08 p.m. in the 700 block of Penn Drive in West Penn Township.
In addition to the Lehigh County Coroner’s Office, the West Penn Township Police Department is investigating the incident.
