The dispatch came in around 12:50pm for a report of a garage fire at 240 South Wylam Street. The first emergency personnel to arrive on scene advised of a working structure fire.
Units from West Mahanoy Township, Frackville, Englewood, and Mahanoy City were called to the scene. The fire was marked under control within 20 minutes of dispatch.
No injuries were reported.
Personnel at the scene said their initial findings were that the fire was accidental, but no official determination had been made.
