Karen Elizabeth Wallace died on May 22, 2026. She is survived by her loving husband, John; daughters Stephanie and husband, David Caballero, Catania, Italy; Rachel and husband, Salvatore Colleluori, New Ringgold, PA;, and Meggan and husband, Brandon McFarland, Horsham, PA; and beloved grandchildren Isaac, Isabel, James, Cassius, and Joette, who will be born in July this year.
Karen was born in Pottsville, PA in January 1957 to the late Ray H. Fleagle Jr. and the late Lillian Smith Fleagle. She was the sixth of eight children: Bill Fleagle and wife, Cheryl, Schuylkill Haven, PA; Cindy Frost and husband, Dick, Liberty, ME; Glenn Fleagle, Phuket, Thailand; Mark “Mooker” Fleagle and wife, Colleen, Schuylkill Haven, PA; the late Scott Fleagle and his wife, Barbara Bainbridge, New Ringgold, PA; Marsha “Mush” Hepler and husband, Steve, Schuylkill Haven, PA; and Tom Fleagle, Centreville, MD.
After graduating high school, Karen enrolled in nursing school at Reading Hospital and then earned her bachelor’s degree from Lebanon Valley College. She worked as a nurse in Alexandria, Virginia and then served as a missionary to deaf children in Haiti for two years. She moved home to Schuylkill Haven and, after meeting and marrying her husband, moved to Pottsville, where she lived for the rest of her life. She served her community as a nurse for 40 years, working in the Good Samaritan Hospital’s emergency room, radiology department, and intensive care unit. She finished her career in occupational health, retiring in 2022.
A lifelong Christian, Karen was devoted to her faith and her church, the First United Methodist Church in Pottsville, where her husband is the pastor. She was a partner to her husband in his ministry at churches across Schuylkill County, including Welcome UMC in Landingville, Simpson UMC in Gordon, Salem UMC in Barry Township, and Evangelical UMC in Pottsville.
Karen lived by the motto “seldom repress a generous impulse” and touched many people’s lives. She was there to help anyone who needed a friend, a ride, a car, a place to live, or even a kidney. She loved music, and played the piano and sang in the choir at every church where she was a member. She volunteered at York Terrace every week, playing hymns on the piano and singing with residents. Her homemade strawberry jelly was renowned and won prizes at the county fair. She was an avid fan of the Philadelphia Eagles and Phillies, and loved walking her dogs in Baber Cemetery every day.
A visitation for family and friends will be held on Thursday, May 28, from 5 to 7 PM and on Friday, May 29 from 10 to 11 AM, followed by a service at 11 AM at the First UMC in Pottsville. Burial will immediately follow at Baber Cemetery in Pottsville.
The family would prefer remembrances in the form of contributions in memory of Karen to the First United Methodist Church in Pottsville or the Pottsville Area High School Marching Band - Pottsville Crimson Aides Band Boosters, 16th and Elk Avenues, Pottsville, PA, 17901.

Judith A. Brentari, 76, of Pottsville, passed away on May 20, 2026 at Lehigh Valley Hospital - Cedar Crest.
Judith was born in Westfield, MA; she was a daughter of Bernard and Grace (Churchill) Boomsma.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Richard Brentari.
Surviving are her two sons, John and wife, Shelly, and Richard II; her grandchildren, Stephanie Ann, Tiannah, Taylor, Cerena, Richard III, Grace.
A private visitation will be held at Schlitzer Allen Pugh Funeral Home, 515 W. Market Street, Pottsville, with interment to follow in Our Lady of Calvary Cemetery, Pottsville.

Dennis Lipsett, 80, of Minersville, died peacefully on May 16, 2026.
Dennis was an Air Force veteran whose life was marked by dedication, curiosity, craftsmanship, and friendship. Throughout his career, he worked in sales for Electrolux, served as a police officer, and later spent approximately 30 years working in the aluminum industry at Cressona Aluminum and its successor companies, retiring from Sapa.
Dennis was especially passionate about model aviation and was a charter member of the Tri-County Wing Snappers. For more than six decades, he built and flew model airplanes and helicopters, becoming widely respected for his knowledge, precision craftsmanship, and willingness to help others in the hobby. He built prototype aircraft for designers and formed lasting friendships with fellow aviation enthusiasts throughout the United States and beyond.
He was also a devoted student of history, an avid reader, a talented musician who played piano, organ, and French horn, and a lover of opera music. Dennis enjoyed walking, dining out, meaningful conversation, and time spent with those closest to him. He will be remembered as a caring neighbor, steadfast friend, and thoughtful presence in the lives of many.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Michael "Frank" And Sadie (Hubler) Lipsett
Dennis is survived by his twin sister, Ellen Lipsett; OSF., his Sister-in-law Linda Lipsett, Robert Lipton and his wife, Mary; Nathan Lipton and his wife, Jennifer; Adam Lipton and his wife, Sarah; Gabriel Lipton; Elise Lipton; his companion, Evie Hozella; and his longtime caretaker and dear friend, Maureen Moyer, all of whom held a special place in his life.
Arrangements are being handled privately through Dutcavich Funeral Home & Cremation Care, Minersville. In keeping with Dennis’s wishes, services will be private.

Born on October 26, 1922 in Locust Valley, Barnsville to John and Anna Sako Hutira who emigrated from Czechoslovakia. Paul worked on the family farm in Locust Valley, in the coal mining industry and the Metropolitan Mirror and Glass Plant. At age 23, he met and married Delia Barnett and moved to the “big city” of Frackville. Paul was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, and uncle.
Paul enjoyed the simple things in life. With his farming roots, he could coax anything to grow in his garden and was well known for his peaches and garlic. If Heaven has a vegetable garden God will surely put Paul in charge. Paul was an avid hunter and excellent fisherman all his life. He enjoyed dancing polkas and Rock and Roll well into his 90s. At the age of 100, Paul discovered his artistic talent. Drawing, painting and coloring became a daily hobby for him.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Delia in 2005; his sister Sue; brothers: John, Steve, Martin, and infants brothers, Joseph and Russell.
He is survived by his daughters, Linda Anthony, Frackville; Phyllis (Chip) Dodd, Cary, NC and his son, Paul Hutira, Frackville; Grandchildren: Charles (Kimberly) Anthony, Brian (Rosalina) Anthony, Christin (Todd) Peterman, Jason (Ann) Hutira, and Tracy Hutira. Great grandchildren: Mitchel and Matthew Anthony, Deidre Anthony Anguiano, Lexi and Zach Peterman, Jack and Grace Hutira; great-great grandchildren, Bennett, Bailee and Poppy Anthony.
Relatives and friends are invited to Paul’s viewing on Monday, June 1st at 9 am followed by a service of celebration at 10 am at the Thomas M. Sullivan Funeral Home, Frackville. Interment will follow in Odd Fellows Cemetery, Frackville.

Born in Harrisburg on Saturday, May 30, 1936, he was the son of the late Robert W. and Rita C. Olsen Miller.
Bob was retired from Bethlehem Steel.
He was of the Catholic faith, belonging to Most Blessed Trinity Parish, Tremont. He was a former member of St. Katharine Drexel Church, Mechanicsburg. Bob was also a Fourth Degree member of the Knights of Columbus and was a life member of both the NRA and the North American Fishing and Hunting Club.
In his younger years, Bob could often be found hunting and fishing. He was also very artistic, taking great pride in his work. Above all else, his family was his world. He will be remembered as a wonderful husband and father.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, William and Thomas Miller.
Surviving are his wife of 59 years, Mary Frances M. Miller; four children, Robert Joseph Miller, Jr. (Sue), Bethlehem, Jane Frances Miller (Joshua Levin), New York, Susan Marie Miller (Robert Armstrong), Harrisburg, and David Olsen Miller, Harrisburg; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, May 30, 2026 at 11:00 AM from Most Blessed Trinity Parish, Tremont. Visitation will be from 10-11 at the church. Bob will be laid to rest in the Most Blessed Trinity Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Bob's Memory can be made to the Most Blessed Trinity Parish, 113 Cherry St, Tremont, PA 17981 or Compassus Hospice, 500 Hawk Ridge Drive, Suite 4, Hamburg, PA 19526.
