The Pennsylvania Association for Justice (formerly the Pennsylvania Trial Lawyers Association) has named Pottsville-based trial lawyer Attorney Sud Patel the 2026 recipient of the Association’s Milton D. Rosenberg Award.
The Rosenberg Award is the most prestigious honor bestowed by the Pennsylvania Association for Justice. It is presented to a trial lawyer who has demonstrated a career-long dedication to protecting the rights of injured victims and whose service to the Association has been both meaningful and sustained.
Founded more than 60 years ago, the Pennsylvania Association for Justice is one of the most respected trial lawyer organizations in the country and has a membership of nearly 2,000 trial lawyers.
In receiving the Rosenberg Award, Patel becomes the first trial lawyer from Schuylkill County to be nominated for and receive the honor.
Patel is a past president of the Pennsylvania Association for Justice and has held every officer position within the organization. He currently serves as a member of the Association’s Board of Governors and as a trustee for PAJ’s Political Action Committee.
Throughout his career, Patel has helped plan, moderate, and present at numerous continuing legal education programs for PAJ and other statewide and national trial lawyer associations.
Patel’s law partner, Albert J. Evans, praised the recognition.
“When it comes to representing injured victims, few, if any, lawyers can match what Sud Patel has done,” Evans said. “He is a tireless advocate who cares deeply not only about our firm’s clients, but also about the rights of injured victims and their access to justice across Pennsylvania.
“His results inside the courtroom include multiple million-dollar jury verdicts and numerous seven-figure settlements. He is always willing to help colleagues from all four corners of Pennsylvania and beyond, and his dedication to our community year in and year out truly sets him apart.
“Even with an incredibly busy law practice and caseload, he still makes time to handle political and legislative issues, mentor younger lawyers, and coordinate our law firm's many community campaigns and outreach efforts.”
