Elizabeth Theresa Paulukonis, 75, of Mahanoy City, passed away on Wednesday, July 15, 2026, at St. Luke’s Miners Campus.
Born May 5, 1951, in Shenandoah, Elizabeth was the daughter of the late Edward and Elizabeth (Yeager) Sluzis.
She worked as a custodian for the Mahanoy Area School District for many years.
Elizabeth was married for 54 years to her husband, Jerome Eugene Paulukonis.
She enjoyed crocheting and, above all, treasured the time she spent with her large and loving family.
In addition to her husband, Jerome, Elizabeth is survived by her children: Jerome and his wife, Lora, of Bear Creek, Plains Township; Eric Paulukonis of Philadelphia; Shawn and his wife, Renee, of Beaver Meadows; Elizabeth Ann Paulukonis of Barnesville; Jennifer and her husband, Jon Yemm, of Mahanoy City; Teresa and her husband, Danny Lynch, of Barnesville; Jessica and her wife, Kathy, of Collegeville; and Michelle and her husband, Justin Gerlott, of Pottsville. She is also survived by her brother, Ed, and his wife, Helen Sluzis, of Maria; 14 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Elizabeth will be remembered as a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend. Her love for her family and the memories they shared will remain a lasting part of her legacy.
Services will be private at the convenience of the family.

Virlin Clyde Neifert, 90, of Minersville, passed away Thursday, July 16th, at Seton Manor, Orwigsburg with family by his side.
Virlin was born in Palo Alto on December 11, 1935, a son of the late Clyde Virlin & Virginia (Caruso) Neifert.
He was of the Catholic faith.
Virlin had worked as a truck driver for Berks Welding.
Virlin is survived by his brother, Ronald Neifert, husband of Isabelle, Orwigsburg; three sisters: Linda Whalen, Orwigsburg, Virginia Pelachick, Delaware, & Gloria Harper, NJ; his nephew, Travis Whalen, FL; and numerous nieces & nephews.
In addition to his parents, Virlin is also preceded in death by three siblings: Theresa Kline, Francis Neifert, & John Neifert.
Services will be privately held at the convenience of the family.
Haus Bartashus Funeral Home, New Philadelphia, has been entrusted with arrangements.

William “Bill” E. Coward III, 55, of Ashland passed away Tuesday July 13, 2026 at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville.
Born in Ashland on August 13, 1970 he was the son of William E. Coward Jr and the late Corrine R. (Stanitis) Coward.
Bill was of the Christian faith and attended Christ United Lutheran Church in Gordon.
He graduated from North Schuylkill High School in 1988. Bill was recently employed as a mechanic for Lineage Logistics. Bill enjoyed riding his motorcycle, hunting and fishing.
In addition to his mother Corrine who passed away January 25, 2026 he was preceded in death by his uncle Jerry Stanitis.
Surviving are his father William “Bill” E. Coward Jr, Ashland; son Zackary Coward (Nancy), Bloomsburg; brother Joshua Coward, Ashland; aunts, uncles & cousins.
Services and interment will be private at the family’s request.
