Taylor Swift, Travis Kelce Donate $1 Million to Food Bank Serving Berks and Schuylkill Counties

Helping Harvest has received a $1 million donation from Taylor Swift and her fiancé, Travis Kelce, providing a significant boost to the food bank's efforts to fight hunger across Berks County and Schuylkill County.
The donation was announced Thursday by the food bank, which serves as the regional partner of Feeding America for Berks and Schuylkill counties.

Swift, a Berks County native, has a longstanding history of supporting organizations that address food insecurity. In December 2025, she donated $1 million to Feeding America, the nation's largest hunger-relief organization. Helping Harvest said the latest contribution will directly support its mission of providing nutritious food to individuals and families facing hunger throughout the region.

"We were so excited to learn of this unexpected but greatly appreciated donation from a global superstar who grew up right here in our service territory, Taylor Swift, and her fiancé, Travis Kelce," said Helping Harvest President Jay Worrall.

"At a time when more neighbors than ever are coming to food banks for assistance, Taylor and Travis' generosity will enable us to continue fulfilling our mission of providing nutritious food to people facing hunger in our communities."

The donation comes as Helping Harvest experiences unprecedented demand for food assistance. The organization reported distributing more than 5.3 million pounds of food across Berks and Schuylkill counties during the first five months of 2026.

If that pace continues, the food bank is projected to distribute more than 14 million pounds of food by the end of the year, surpassing the previous annual record of 11.1 million pounds set in 2025.

Helping Harvest said the gift will help ensure it can continue meeting the growing needs of local families as demand for food assistance continues to rise.
