The meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, August 5, 2026, at 7:00 p.m. in the Blue Mountain School District Office, located at 685 Red Dale Road, Orwigsburg.
According to the district, the purpose of the special meeting is to discuss and take action regarding the potential resignation of a board member. An agenda for the meeting will be posted on the district's website prior to the meeting.
The district is also seeking individuals who may be interested in filling the remainder of the board member's term if the resignation is accepted.
Anyone wishing to be considered for the appointment is asked to submit a notice of interest to Gail Hershberger at the district office via email at gehershberger@bmsd.org. Questions regarding the process may also be directed to Hershberger.
