Lisa A. Kenderdine, 44, has been charged with felony aggravated assault, misdemeanor simple assault and summary harassment.
According to an affidavit filed by Pennsylvania State Police at Schuylkill Haven, troopers were dispatched to a home on Summer Hill Road around 11:54 p.m. Thursday, August 27, for a reported domestic dispute.
The victim told police that he and Kenderdine had been drinking at a bar before returning to his residence, where an argument began. Kenderdine allegedly wanted to drive home, but the victim believed she was too intoxicated to drive.
Police said the argument became physical as the two struggled over a set of keys. The victim alleged that Kenderdine took possession of his three-inch steel pocketknife and slashed the right side of his torso while attempting to retrieve the keys.
The victim told police that he then gave Kenderdine the keys, and she left in a white Jeep Wrangler.
The investigating trooper reported observing 11 lacerations across the right side of the victim’s torso. Police also seized a three-inch pocketknife from the scene.
Troopers later contacted Kenderdine by phone and arranged to meet her at a gas station along Route 61 near Schuylkill Haven.
Kenderdine reportedly told police that the dispute became physical after the victim attempted to hide her keys and threw her to the ground. She said she retrieved the keys and left the residence.
According to the affidavit, Kenderdine alleged that the victim attempted to place a knife in her hand during the altercation, but she denied touching him with it.
Court records show Kenderdine was arrested and charged on Friday, August 28. Monetary bail was set at $50,000, which the docket indicates was posted later that day through a professional bondsman.
A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Tuesday, September 8, at 1:45 p.m. before Magisterial District Judge Casimir T. Kosciolek.
