Pennsylvania State Police are asking for the public’s help identifying a woman accused of taking cash that another customer left behind at a Walmart self-checkout in Rush Township.
According to Pennsylvania State Police at Frackville, the theft occurred around 6:20 p.m. Sunday, August 16, 2026, at the Walmart on Plaza Drive in Hometown.
Police said a woman allegedly took $60 that had been left behind by the victim at a self-checkout register.
After taking the money, the suspect reportedly left the store and fled in a white Suzuki Grand Vitara with an unknown registration.
State Police have released images of the suspect and vehicle as part of their investigation and are asking anyone who recognizes the woman or has information about the incident to come forward.
