Motorists traveling on Interstate 81 in Schuylkill County may encounter daytime lane restrictions while PennDOT crews perform crack sealing, bridge repairs and litter removal from Monday, September 28, through Thursday, October 1, 2026.
Interstate 81 Work Schedule
The following operations are scheduled from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Drivers should allow additional travel time and use caution near each work zone.
I-81 South Crack Sealing

PennDOT maintenance crews will perform crack sealing on Interstate 81 South between Exit 107 (Tremont/Tower City) at U.S. Route 209 and Exit 116 (Minersville) at PA Route 901 in Foster and Frailey townships.
Restriction: A southbound lane restriction will be in effect.
I-81 South Bridge Repairs

Bridge repairs are scheduled on Interstate 81 South between Exit 134 at Delano and Exit 138 (McAdoo) at PA Route 309 in Delano and Kline townships.

I-81 North Bridge Repairs

I-81 North Litter Removal

A litter removal operation is scheduled along Interstate 81 North between Exit 119 at Highridge Park Road and Exit 138 (McAdoo) at PA Route 309.
Restriction: Crews will conduct a moving operation along the northbound shoulder.
