NORTH MANHEIM TOWNSHIP — A Schuylkill County man is facing four misdemeanor charges after Pennsylvania State Police investigated allegations that he inappropriately touched an 11-year-old child.
Four Misdemeanor Charges Filed
Brian Roy Nester, 54, is charged with two counts of indecent assault of a person younger than 13, along with one count each of corruption of minors and endangering the welfare of children. Court records list all four charges as first-degree misdemeanors.
State Police Investigation
According to the affidavit of probable cause, Pennsylvania State Police at Schuylkill Haven received a report on , concerning an alleged incident on .
The affidavit alleges that the child reported Nester touched private areas of the child’s body during what began as a back rub at a residence. The child reportedly told Nester to stop, left the room and called to be picked up.
As part of the investigation, the child participated in a forensic interview at the Child Advocacy Center in Harrisburg on , according to police.
The affidavit states that a protection-from-abuse order involving the child had been entered before the interview. Investigators later presented the case to the Schuylkill County District Attorney’s Office, which approved the charges.
Preliminary Hearing Scheduled
