Anne Mary Wojciechowsky of Pottsville

Anne Mary Wojciechowsky

Anne Mary Wojciechowsky, 78, of Pottsville, passed away , at Lehigh Valley Hospital–East.

Born in Pottsville on , Anne was a daughter of the late Francis and Anna Margaret (Hogan) Ritzel.

Married for 58 years, Anne was the loving wife of Anthony “Tony” Wojciechowsky.

Anne was a graduate of Nativity BVM High School, Class of 1965. She was a member of St. Patrick's Roman Catholic Church in Pottsville.

Anne's main vocation in life was taking care of family, starting with her own parents and then her family and grandchildren. Through it all, she remained an “Eastsider” for life.

In addition to her husband, Anne is survived by her children, Richard F. Wojciechowsky, husband of Heather, Pottsville; Amy Kelly, wife of Brian, Lititz; and Chad W. Wojciechowsky, husband of Stephanie, Pottsville; and her grandchildren, Anthony, Anya, Matthew, Nathan, Benjamin, Jackson and Vincent.

Anne was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Claudia Wojciechowsky, and her uncle, Charles Hogan.

Funeral Arrangements

A graveside service will be held at , at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery in Annville.

John Robert Kesh of Hazleton

John Robert Kesh

John Robert Kesh, 75, of Hazleton, passed away on , following a short, hard-fought battle with non-Hodgkin's lymphoma linked to Agent Orange exposure. He passed away at The Manor at St. Luke Village in Hazleton.

John was born in Locustdale on , a son of the late Rita (Wagner) Kesh.

During the Vietnam Era, John served in the United States Army as a Specialist Fourth Class. He received the Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal, Bronze Star Medal, Marksman M-16, Army Reserve Components Achievement Medal, Armed Forces Reserve Medal, Army Achievement Medal and Army Commendation Medal.

He worked at Tobyhanna Army Depot as a welder until his retirement.

John is survived by his loving wife, Barbara (Chesla) Kesh; two daughters, Tara Kesh and Krista Kesh; his sister-in-law, Frani Pisak of South Carolina; and his two granddogs, Hamlet and Betty Rose.

Funeral Arrangements

A funeral service will be held at , at Walukiewicz Oravitz Fell Funeral Home, 132 South Jardin Street, Shenandoah. Relatives and friends are invited to a viewing at the funeral home from to

John will be laid to rest with military honors at St. Casimir's Cemetery in Shenandoah immediately following the funeral service.

Diane Marie Barr of Tremont

Diane Marie Barr

Diane Marie Barr, 78, of Vaux Avenue, Tremont, passed away at home on .

Born on , in Pine Grove, she was a daughter of the late Eugene and Marguerite “Maggie” Aungst Zimmerman.

She was a member of Outwood Lutheran Church in Pine Grove.

Diane had worked for Guilford Mills in Pine Grove, Home Health and the Tremont Health & Rehab Center.

She loved playing bingo with her Bingo Buddies, crocheting and animals.

Surviving are her husband of 50 years, Roger Barr; three children, Chris and husband Robert Argood of Tremont, Ronda Humphrey and companion Joseph Marko of Pine Grove, and Troy Kramer of Tremont; 10 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; two stepchildren, Tanya Barr of Tremont and Shawn Barr of Minersville; six stepgrandchildren; seven step-great-grandchildren; sisters and brothers, Doreen and husband Michael Derfler of Pine Grove, Deborah Burns of Denver, Russell Sr. and wife Jane Zimmerman of Pine Grove, Ricky and wife Phyllis Zimmerman of Pine Grove, and Robert and husband Ann Zimmerman of Pine Grove; and nieces and nephews.

Funeral Arrangements

Funeral services will be held at , at H. L. Snyder Funeral Home Inc. in Pine Grove, with Pastor Barry Spatz officiating. A viewing will be held at the funeral home from to Interment will follow in Jacob's Lutheran Cemetery in Pine Grove.
