Shenandoah Valley High School has named Jayden Mulkusky its Student of the Month for September 2026.
Academic Achievement and School Leadership
Mulkusky, a member of the Class of 2027, carries a 3.9 cumulative grade-point average and ranks third in his class.
He will be recognized during the Shenandoah Valley School Board meeting on Wednesday, September 23, where he is scheduled to give a brief speech about school events and his future plans.
Mulkusky holds several leadership roles at Shenandoah Valley High School. He is the founder and president of the Diversity Club and serves as president of Student Council, his class and the National Honor Society.
He is also vice president of Future Business Leaders of America and a co-founder of the Community Engagement Club.
His other activities include Ski Club, Aevidum, the Junior Advisory Board and Little Devils Big Goals.
Community Service and Recognition
Mulkusky has participated in several community service projects, including packing food bags for a local food pantry and staffing a can-collection table during the Shenandoah Valley-Mahanoy Area football game.
He has also participated in cleanup efforts at Girard and on school grounds, handed out candy during Trunk or Treat and helped with the community block party for the past two years.
Mulkusky received the 2026 Delin Award and began an internship with Sherry Dental in September.
Plans After Graduation
After graduating from Shenandoah Valley High School, Mulkusky plans to attend a four-year college and major in biology with a minor in business.
He then plans to attend dental school and earn a doctorate in dentistry.
