Attorney General Announces Legal Action Against Schuylkill County Nursing Home

(07/01/15) HARRISBURG — Attorney General Kathleen G. Kane announced Wednesday that her office has filed a legal action against a chain of nursing home companies accused of misleading consumers by failing to provide basic services to elderly and vulnerable residents.

Over 3,500 Homes Without Power Across Schuylkill County

According to PPL, a few thousand are without power Saturday afternoon.

As of 4:30pm, a reason has not been stated, but 3,646 homes were reported to be without power across Schuylkill County.

The breakdown of areas currently without power is as follows

Hegins Twp. - 2,766
Rush Twp. - 680
Walker Twp. - 77
Butler Twp. - 22
Blythe Twp. - 21
Barry Twp. - 80

UPDATE:  As of 8:30pm, just over 400 were still without power, mainly in Hegins Twp.
