Schuylkill County Man Spends Month in Jail Posing as Brother

An Ashland man spent a month in Northumberland County jail posing as his brother.

According to Pennlive.com, Brian Dietrick, 44, of Ashland was pulled over for a minor traffic violation and claimed to his brother Lewis.
He claimed to be his older brother Lewis, 49, who was wanted for failing to pay court costs.
Northumberland County District Attorney Ann Targonski speculates since Brian Dietrick was wanted on drug and other charges in several counties including Northumberland, he decided to assume his brother's identity because of the lesser charge against him.
Brian had spent the month in jail until Lewis had learned of his brother's arrest and contacted Shenandoah police last week.
