Schuylkill Mall Theatres Prepares for the Star Wars: The Force Awakens

With only one week until it's release the Schuylkill Mall Theatres is preparing for the release of Star Wars:  The Force Awakens.


Star Wars and movie fans excitement is growing for the release of "The Force Awakens" on December 18th.

Schuylkill Mall Theatres has been planning since presale tickets for the movie's tickets have been on sale since November.

Theatre manager, Zach Gilbert, says interest in the presale for the tickets for the first showings are at least 3 times higher than any other movie's release.

Even though the movie is set to release on Friday, December 18th, Disney has allowed theaters to show their first showings earlier on Thursday evening.

The following shows are still available at Schuylkill Mall Theatres on Thursday, December 17th
  • PXC 3D - 7:00PM & 10:00PM
  • 21+ in 3D Theater - 10:15PM
  • 2D Theater - 7:45PM & 11:00PM
The schedule for showings through the weekend are as follows (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday)
  • PXC 3D - 3:15PM & 9:30PM
  • 3D 21 + - 12:15PM , 6:15PM, 9:15PM
  • 2D -  9:30AM, 3:15PM, 9:15PM, and 10:30PM
Advance tickets can be purchased at http://www.fandango.com/pearlstadium8_aawjn/theaterpage.  It is recommended to check which shows are still available because available tickets are expected to sell quickly.

While supplies last, the theater will have limited edition cups for popcorn and drinks.

RC and T-102 will also be on the air live from the theatre from 4-7PM on Friday giving away Star Wars merchandise.

The theater is encouraging costuming for the events, however, masks, light sabers, and anything resembling weapons will not be permitted.
