Police Investigating Case of Animal Cruelty in Cass Township

Police are investigating a case of animal cruelty in Cass Township.

According to the State Police at Frackville, a deceased dog was found in a cage buried in a wooded area in Heckscherville, in Cass Township, in the area of Thomastown Road.

Police say the cage was intentionally placed in a hole in the ground and covered with boards.

It is believed the dog died of starvation.
