The Mahanoy Area School District announced Friday that Monday, December 17, 2018 will be an Act 80 Day due to the sudden passing of their School Board President.
Due to the sudden passing of our School Board President, Jay Hanley, the MASD will have an Act 80 day on Monday, December 17, 2018 (only teachers report to the building). Transportation will be provided to the IU, Votech, and all other schools as normal. Votech students will run on a compressed schedule which will be given to each child today on the bus for out of town bus times.
Additionally, the school board meeting scheduled for Monday at 6 PM is cancelled and a Special Meeting will be held on Thursday, December 20, 2018 at 6 PM.
