Officials Investigating Dog's Death on Peach Mountain

According to SPCA officials, the Hillside SPCA and State Police are investigating an incident where a dog's body was found with a gunshot wound to the head.

Officials say a medium sized, white and brown colored dog was brought to Hillside SPCA on Monday, December 24th, 2018.

The dog's body was found in the area of Peach Mountain near Pottsville.

After being brought to Hillside, the dog's body was taken to Mountain Shadow Veteranarian Hospital where it was x-rayed and the cause of death was determined to be a gunshot wound to head.

It was also found that the dog was about 1 year old, not neutered, and not chipped.
