Student Apprehended at North Schuylkill for Bringing Pellet Gun to School

A student was apprehended Friday morning at North Schuylkill High School after officials got word he brought a gun to school.

According to Superintendent Robert Ackell, Adminstration received a tip about a gun in the high school.  The student was apprehended immediately and the building was placed on restrictive movement.

High School administration recovered a pellet gun that resembled a pistol as well as a fake bag of drugs (sugar and oregano).

"The rest of the building was swept and cleared by authorities, classes have resumed and are back to normal" said Ackell.

Butler Township Police have apprehended the student involved.
