Two Injured in Crash on Gold Star Highway near Shenandoah

Two people were injured in a crash on the Goldstar Highway near Shenandoah last Friday.

According to the Pennsylvania State Police at Frackville, the crash occurred around 11:15am, Friday, June 4th, 2021, near the intersection of Gold Star Highway and Herald Road in Mahanoy Township.

Troopers say the crash occurred when Daniel Cox, 38, of Shickshinny, was traveling south in the right lane and Joseph Najda, 47, of Ringtown, was travelling in the left lane

Cox turned left into the path of Najda and collided.

Both Cox and Najda suffered minor injuries and were transported to an area hospital by Shenandoah Ambulance.

A 15-Year-Old was also in the vehicle with Najda, he was not injured.

Cox will be cited for the crash.
