UPDATE: Arrest Warrant Issued for Frackville Man Wanted for Luzerne County Arson and Auto Theft


An arrest warrant has been issued for a Frackville man in connection with a Luzerne County Arson and auto theft.

According to the Pennsylvania State Police at Hazleton, a be on the lookout has been published for David Carls, 57, from Frackville.

Carl is considered a person of interest in an armed vehicle theft and arson investigation in Luzerne County on Tuesday morning.

Carls is considered armed and dangerous.

He is reported to be about 5'04" tall, brown/blondish balding hair and beard, and is wearing a knit hat, blue "dickie" style pants and a blue mechanics jacket with "Carls Electric" embroidered on the chest.

He is said to be traveling in a black 2019 Jeep Cherokee bearing PA Registration PZA787B with  PA Zoological Society plate a tiger pictured on it with inoperable rear driver side brake light.

Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to contact 911 immediately and DO NOT APPROACH.

State Police obtained an arrest warrant midday on Tuesday for Carl on charges of robbery of a motor vehicle, robbery-threatening serious injury, theft by unlawful taking, recklessly endangering another person, and aggravated assault.

State Police have not released specific details on the incident involved but early reports state Carl is wanted in connection with an arson that occurred in the 200 Block of Trapper Springs Lane in the Beech Mountain Lakes community in Luzerne County near Drums.
