The Pennsylvania State Police nabbed a man they say stole scratch offs from a store in Friedensburg last week.
Troopers say, around 2:00pm on Thursday, December 2nd, 2021, Edward Rayfield, 38, of Pottsville stole six scratch offs from behind the counter of C&C Candies and Country Store on Long Run Road in Friedensburg.
Rayfield was spotted leaving the scene in a silver Lincoln Navigator.
On Saturday, December 4th, Troopers spotted a vehicle matching the description and troopers pulled it over.
Rayfield was driving the vehicle, wearing the same clothes at the time of the theft and confessed to taking the tickets. Rayfield also told police none of the tickets were winners.
Rayfield will answers to Felony 3 retail theft.
