Utility Pole Sheared in Two-Miler Crash near Frackville

A utility pole was sheared in a crash on the Two-Miler hill in Butler Township on Wednesday morning.

Around 9:00am, emergency personnel were called to a motor vehicle accident on Route 61 in the middle of the Two-Miler hill with wires down.

Police from Butler Township and Ashland responded along with the Friendship Fire Company from Englewood and found the crash near the top of the hill with the pole sheared.

Police at the scene said the driver reported that a deer darted across the highway causing him to swerve and lose control.

The driver, was uninjured.

Englewood fire was cleared not long after arrival.  The highway was narrowed to one lane until a tow truck arrived.
