The event was held at the Elks Lodge No. 695 on Center Street in the borough. held their annual Elk and Citizen of the Year Banquet.
Teresa McCord was recognized as the 2021 Elk of the year for her outstanding service and dedication to the lodge and other elks programs.
Barry Brassington was selected as Citizen of the Year for his service above and beyond his community, especially during the Gilberton Flooding in 2020.
