One person was transported to the hospital after a two car crash near Fountain Springs on Monday morning.
Around 8:15am, emergency personnel were dispatched to the intersection of Route 61 and Academy Lane, the entrance to North Schuylkill/Cresswell Gardens, in Butler Township for a crash with injuries.
The crash involved a sedan and SUV that collided at the intersection.
The driver of the SUV was transported to an area hospital by Minersville EMS for minor injuries.
The driver of the sedan refused treatment.
Fire personnel from Fountain Springs, Englewood, and Lavelle responded to assist with cleanup and traffic control. Butler Township Police and Ashland Police also responded.
Both vehicles were towed from the scene.
