A police incident that required a response by PSP SERT in Orwigsburg Wednesday evening ended peacefully.
According to the Pennsylvania State Police at Schuylkill Haven, on Wednesday, March 2nd, 2022, just before 3:00pm, State Police responded to a home on Grove Street in West Brunswick Township, near Orwigsburg for a psychiatric subject.
Law enforcement made several attempts to make contact with the 34 year old male involved but were unsuccessful.
Based on the information provided to the police, the Pennsylvania State Police Special Emergency Response Team was requested to assist.
Around 7:30pm, the PSP SERT were able to safely apprehend the subject without issue.
Grove Street was closed for approximately 4 hours during the incident.
The incident is still under investigation by the Pennsylvania State Police.
