Route 61 remains closed early Saturday as an ongoing police incident continues.
The incident began around 12:30am Saturday with when law enforcement from Ashland and the surrounding communities police departments were called to the area of Danny's Drive In on South Hoffman Boulevard.
Exact details were not fully available as police were still at the scene but Route 61 was closed from Ashland to the area of the former hospital in Fountain Springs for the incident.
As of 2:45am, the road remains closed.
