State Police Respond to Fight in Tremont; One Seriously Injured

The Pennsylvania State Police responded to a fight in Tremont on Friday evening.

According to the Schuylkill Haven Barracks, on Friday, March 18th, 2022, around 8:15pm, Troopers from Schuylkill Haven, Frackville, and Jonestown responded to a fight in progress on East Main Street in Tremont.

Police were advised while in route that the fight possibly involved a knife and a gun.

At the scene, an investigation by Troopers and questioning of witnesses determined that Donovan Reed, 20, Jonathan Bohr, 21, and an 18 year old, all from Tremont, were involved in the fight.

Details were not released on why the fight occurred but it was determined that no knife or gun were involved in the fight.

The 18 year old involved suffered serious injuries in the fight and was transported to Geisinger St. Luke's Hospital for treatment.

Reed and Bohr were both taken into custody and charged with aggravated assault, simple assault, harassment, and purchasing alcohol for a minor.  Bohr was also charged with strangulation.

Both were arraigned by on-call Magisterial District Judge David J. Rossi with bail being set at $10,000 straight cash.

Reed remains locked up in Schuylkill County Prison while Bohr was released after posting bail.
