A woman has died from the injuries she suffered in a motorcycle crash in Schuylkill County on Saturday morning.
According to the Pennsylvania State Police at Schuylkill Haven, the crash occurred on Saturday morning around 11:15am on Fair Road/Route 895 just east of Jan Drive in South Manheim Township.
Police say Leslie Gingrich, 50, of Orwigsburg was driving west on Route 895 on a Harley Davidson Sportster when she attempted to avoid hitting a large depression in the stoned area of the roadway.
This caused Gingrich to lose control of her motorcycle. She was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.
She was transported to Geisinger St. Luke's Hospital where she died from her injuries.
State Police say the crash is still under investigation.
