Woman Assaulted in Road Rage Incident Along Route 61 in Schuylkill County

A woman was reportedly assaulted in a road rage incident along Route 61 in Schuylkill County.

According to the Pennsylvania State Police at Schuylkill Haven, on Monday, July 4th, 2022 around 4:00pm, Troopers responded to Route 61 in North Manheim Township near Schuylkill Haven for a report of a road rage incident.

The female victim told police that she was followed by a Silver Mitsubishi Endeavor van and a black Chevrolet Impala from the Deer Lake area.

At the intersection with Pottsville Street and Route 61, two Hispanic men, one described as having a goatee and the other having a thinner build, exited the vehicles and punched the woman multiple times in the face.  They then physically removed her from her vehicle and continued to assault her before re-entering their vehicles and fleeing northbound on Route 61.

Police say the victim sustained multiple facial contusions and lacerations.
