TREMONT TOWNSHIP- This crash occurred on Wednesday, November 9th, 2022, around 7:50am, on Tremont Road/Route 125 just north of the intersection with Camp Road.

Troopers say while the driver of a GMC Savana was traveling on Route 125, a while Dodge Pickup Truck traveling the opposite direction crossed the double yellow line and both vehicles' mirrors struck.

The driver of the Savana pulled over, but the Dodge Pickup continued without stopping.

NEW CASTLE TOWNSHIP - This two-vehicle crash occurred on Sunday, October 30th, 2022 around 3:30am on Chestnut Street near the intersection with Dick Street.

State Police said the driver of Subaru Impreza was traveling south on Chesnut Street when they struck a parked vehicle then struck a utility pole.  When police arrived, the driver had fled but left the vehicle.

State Police are asking anyone who may have information on this incident to contact the Frackville Barracks at (570) 874-5300.

NORTH MANHEIM TOWNSHIP - This two-vehicle crash occurred on Wednesday, November 9th, 2022, around 6:20am, on Route 61 at the intersection with Seven Stars Road.

Troopers say Scott Brenner, 63, of Pottsville was traveling south on Route 61 when Kim Leininger, 53, of Schuylkill Haven ran a red light from the jug handle and attempted to make a left turn.  

Their vehicle collided and had to be towed from the scene.

Brenner sustained minor injuries and was transported to an area hospital.  

Leininger was not injured but will face charges for driving under the influence.
